Winnebago View 24D Exterior: Compartments & Service Bays
A quick guide to the Winnebago View 24D and 24J exterior compartments, including storage, water hookups, shore power, and propane access.
The Winnebago View 24D has exterior compartments on both the driver and passenger sides.
Driver side compartments
Behind the driver side door, you’ll find the gravity fill for the freshwater tank, plus three compartments with most of your essential hookups:
Propane access panel
Storage panel with the sewer hose (aka “stinky slinky”)
Rear panel with the shore power cord, water center, and outside shower
Note: on the View 24J, the gravity fill is on the rear passenger side.
Passenger side compartments
Behind the passenger side door, compartments are primarily for storage and generator access:
Behind the cabin door: storage for camping chairs
Middle compartment: propane generator
Rear compartment: watertight storage for the white fresh water hose
Fill the fresh water tank
Find the gravity fill connection, located on the driver side (on the View 24J, it’s on the rear passenger side).
To fill the tank:
Unlock the gravity fill compartment
Insert the fresh water hose
Connect the hose to your water source
Turn on the water
When the tank is full, water will overflow from the fill area. At that point, turn off the water.
Troubleshooting
No water flow inside? Confirm the gravity fill cap is closed and locked after filling, and check that hoses are fully inserted.
Shore power not working? Verify the power cord is securely connected at both ends.
