Please do NOT get type #1 diesel which is found at truck stops—this will result in engine replacement of not less than $25,000, for which you will be responsible.

We allow pick up and drop off between 8am and 6pm, 7 days a week, in coordination with our local managers. Please note that pickup and drop-off times are subject to availability based on what is already booked.
If you fly out outside of our drop-off time, we suggest booking a hotel for the night and planning accordingly. Most hotels offer shuttles to and from the airport and there are Ubers/Lyfts that can be utilized at all locations. Unauthorized drop-offs (returns outside of operating hours) will result in a fee starting at $500.
Blacksford offers complimentary airport pick ups and drop offs.
-
Immediately reach out to the Manager on Duty—the number will be provided upon your arrival at Blacksford.
We will also provide you with a number for 24-hour roadside assistance if we cannot be reached.
-
RV rental rates vary by location and time year. Our RV rentals include unlimited miles, unlimited generator use, all basic bedding and bath gear, camp chairs, basic kitchen equipment, etc.
When comparing our prices to our competitors, be sure to factor in charges for mileage, generator use, bedding and kitchen equipment rental, processing and cleaning fees etc. Blacksford does not charge for these, while most of our competitors do. Also, consider the quality, age, mileage and condition of our competitors' RVs.
Blacksford offers new, premium RVs only.
-
We offer promotional discounts throughout the year. Subscribe to our email list to receive discount codes and other offers.
We automatically offer 10% of the prevailing daily rate for reservations over 10 days and for returning customers. That means that one day might be $249/day and one day might be $450 per day, we take 10% of each daily rate.
For additional discounts (military, etc.) please reach out to reservations@blacksford.com for more information.

RV Rental Damage Coverage provides coverage should an insured renter cause accidental damage to your RV interior while it’s parked during their trip. Renters purchase protection for a flat, one-time fee while booking ($69.00).
The plan provides coverage for accidental damages that can include: broken appliances and certain electronics, damaged interior doors, walls and furniture, stained bedding or linens, lost keys and re-keying costs.
While no one expects to damage a rental, accidents do happen. We highly recommend purchasing RV Rental Damage Coverage as it can help safeguard a renter's security deposit.
When normally you would deduct or keep all of the renter's security deposit, you now can file a claim through Generali for up to $1,500 and refund the renter their security deposit. Meaning if a renter caused $1,000 of damage inside your RV, you would file a claim (see below) and refund the renter their security deposit money. Everybody is happy!
A FULL COPY OF THE COVERAGE IS HERE
-
Well-behaved dogs under 75 pounds are welcome with prior approval for $50 per day (maximum $250 per stay), plus a $2,000 refundable security deposit. A $500 cleaning fee will be charged if your pet causes damage or leaves excessive dirt or fur.
To ensure the comfort of future guests, we do not permit cats or other animals.
-
Similar to rental car companies, our insurance requires that all drivers and renters are at least 25 years old.
-
While not guaranteed, we love offering one-way rentals and try to accommodate requests as best we can (for a fee). As a small, premium service company it can be complicated logistically to do one-way rentals, but we will make every effort to accommodate your requests. Sometimes we will waive the one-way fee if we are trying to re-position vehicles seasonally.
The one-way fee is based primarily on distance since we need to bring the RV back to its main location which involves staff driving or even flying. During peak times, one-ways are tough because we need our highly trained staff helping customers at our hubs. Plus, we must factor in the cost of that RV not being rentable while we are retrieving or delivering it.
We prefer one-ways that start at our rental offices so we can guarantee our VIP service, orientations, and access to mechanics, supplies, back-up RVs, etc.
If you are interested in one-way or drop off rentals, please email reservations@blacksford.com, and we will try our best to work with you.
-
Yes, we offer 10% off the prevailing daily rate for reservations over 10 days. We will consider larger discounts for longer term rentals. Contact us for more information.
-
For early returns or to extend your trip, please email us at reservations@blacksford.com to see if we can accommodate your change.
Except for very extenuating circumstances, we do not offer refunds for early returns. Extensions will be allowed if the vehicle is not previously reserved, and rates will be charged at the daily rate at the time of extension.
-
YES, you can take your RV to Canada.
NO, we don't allow any travel to Mexico for any reason. Traveling to Mexico will void your rental contract and insurance coverage.
-
With prior approval, we allow our RVs to be taken to festivals with one exception: Burning Man.
Our insurance does not cover the Burning Man Festival and violations will result in fines up to and exceeding the replacement value of the RV.
-
Refunds, based on full rental fees, are processed as follows:
Rental charges and cancellation. At the time you book your reservation, your credit card will be charged 50% of the total rental charge, which will reserve the vehicle for your use on the dates specified. Your credit card will be charged the remaining 50% of the total rental charge 45 days prior to the date of the rental. Your credit card will be charged the security deposit 7 days prior to the date of the rental.
Cancellation charges will be as follows: (1) for cancellations more than 90 days prior to the date of the rental, 100% of the total payments will be returned; (2) for cancellations 30-89 days prior to the date of the rental, 50% of the total payments will be returned; (3) for cancellations 11-30 days prior to the date of the rental, 25% of the total payments will be returned; (4) for cancellations 0-10 days before the date of the rental, you will not be entitled to the return of any portion of the payments that you have made. However, the entire amount of your security deposit will be returned with any cancellation.
It can take up to 2 weeks for your refund to fully process once you cancel your reservation.
Modification policy: 90 days or more we can remove days along with associated costs. Less than 90 days we can still remove days but associated costs will remain. Example: Renter has a reservation for 15 days and wants to return 2 days early making the trip length 13 days. We will still charge 15 days and not 13 days due to the change happening less than 90 days out.

Check with your campground to ensure they allow tent camping with an RV site. The Rumpl synthetic down comforters are not intended as sleeping bags.
-
We do not offer bike rentals, but we do rent bike racks (subject to availability). We are happy to recommend local bike rental outfitters.
-
Unfortunately, we don't rent booster or car seats. Because of the risk from liability, our insurance will not allow this; Please check with our reservations team to ensure that your RV has the proper seatbelts to accommodate any car or booster seat you bring or purchase. Nearby Walmarts offer reasonably priced seats for purchase if you do not bring your own.
All of our RVs can accommodate car seats however only the Thor Quantum models allow tethers.
RV-Related Questions
-
Our first-time RV driving guests are often nervous about driving an RV and are pleasantly surprised by how easy it is once they get the hang of it.
The Revel and Solis models are not significantly different than driving a large SUV or mini-van. And the larger models—EKKO, View and Quantum—require a wider and longer space for driving and parking.
Since RVs are heavier than passenger cars and most of our customers are new to driving an RV, we strongly recommend that you leave plenty of time and go under the speed limit for safety. Driving our RVs is remarkably easy.
-
Yes, you will receive a detailed and thorough in-person training for both the inside and outside of your RV. No question is too small.
We will provide tips on driving and even take you out for a test drive if you wish. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible and we will take as much time as you need to feel confident on the road.
Many customers even record a video of our orientation on their phones so they can refer to it later.
During your trip, you can call our Manager on Duty 24/7 with any questions.

The Winnebago View and Revel require ULTRA LOW SULFUR DIESEL (the kind found at regular gas stations).
Please do NOT get type #1 diesel found at truck stops—this will result in engine replacement of not less than $25,000, for which you will be responsible.
The EKKO and Solis require regular unleaded gasoline.
-
The number of guests allowed in an RV is determined by the number of seatbelts in the RV:
The Revel seats and sleeps 2.
The Solis and EKKO each seat and sleep 4.
The View 24D seats and sleeps 4.
The View 24J seats and sleeps 5.
The Quantum seats and sleeps 6.
-
All RVs except the Solis P, EKKO and Revel are equipped with generators which allow you to camp without hookups. The generator will allow you to run all systems including the water heater and house AC.
You must ensure you have enough fuel in your generator and should check fuel levels regularly.
The EKKO and Revel are equipped with lithium ion batteries which serve the same function as a generator.
-
All our RVs are equipped with 30 amp cords for charging. Each RV has the appropriate charging cord. We also have a converter in case you only have access tio 110 amp current.
-
The solar panels typically provide enough fuel for low-level lighting, charing your cell phone, heating your hot water, and running a small refrigerator. They are not intended to run the AC and other high voltage items.
-
Yes. The Winnebago View, EKKO, Solis PX, Revel and the Thor Quantum all have AC in the front "car" portion and in the rear "house" portion.
Both the Winnebago EKKO and Revel have 2 lithium ion batteries in lieu of a generator which provide equivalent energy as a generator.
-
Yes! The EKKO, View, and Quantum LC28 models all have TVs.
-
Yes! Each TV has an HDMI port. We recommend bringing your own cable because certain laptops aren't always compatible with our HDMI cords.
-
-
Our models with TVs (the EKKO, View, and Quantum LC28) have a Bluetooth soundbar you can connect to using your phone, tablet, or any Bluetooth-enabled device.
-
No, at this time our RVs do not have wifi.
-
No, none of our RVs feature CD players. But you're welcome to play music through the Bluetooth soundbar in the EKKO, View, and Quantum LC28.
-
It depends on your RV tanks and how heavily the tanks are used.
For the smaller RVs with cassette toilets —Revel and Solis—expect to empty your tanks ever day or two.
For the View, EKKO and Quantum, expect to empty them every 2–4 days.
Remember, if you are at a campground with full hook-ups, you can keep the gray tank valve open with the waste hose inserted in the sewer drain and shower at length without filling the grey tank.
-
You can return your RV without emptying the black and gray tanks for a $195 fee if arranged during booking.
If you initially opt to empty the tanks yourself but return the RV without emptying them, a fee of $295 will apply. This policy ensures that all our RVs are ready and pristine for the next adventurer.
-
It depends on how much water you use. If you are hooked up to a fresh water supply, you will not use your fresh water tank.
If you are dry camping, a short shower, washing dishes, and a few flushes may deplete your fresh water tank quickly.
Always monitor your fresh water supply.
-
Yes. If you have either a generator and/or shore power, your CPAP machine should work. All RVs have power plugs near the sleeping areas.
-
Customers and staff report that the "pop top" area is quite comfortable for sleeping.
Remember that this area is not temperature controlled, so it can get hot or cold depending on the outside air temperature.
Trip-Planning Questions
-
We are approximately 5–15 minutes from the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport, and the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
We offer complimentary pickup and drop-off at the airport, as long as your flight arrives within our business hours (8am–6pm, 7 days a week).
-
Yes! If you plan to park at our rental location, please send us an email at reservations@blacksford.com.
-
A very small number of our customers will rent a car for ease of sightseeing and running errands. However most do not and simply use their RV as their vehicle for day trips to go sightseeing and run errands to stores or restaurants. Parking in crowded national park spots requires patience frequently especially when parking an RV.
-
Many national parks have length limits on their roads and in their in-park campgrounds. We strongly encourage you to check with parks and campgrounds before you book (rules change frequently).
For example, Glacier National Park has very strict length limits for the Going to the Sun Road. Typically the Revel and Solis do not pose a problem. Since rules change frequently, we strongly encourage you to check before booking.
-
Some do require reservations. We strongly encourage you to check with the National Park Service prior to planning your trip. See our latest blog post about timed entry reservations in national parks.
-
For better or worse, cell coverage and wifi in popular RV destinations is unreliable. Most campgrounds have wifi but it is typically not the quality you would expect at home.
Most national parks have almost no cellular coverage except for near visitor centers where it can be very limited.
National park campgrounds can sometimes have limited wifi. Please check ahead of time with each campground or destination.
