Thor Quantum Interior: Kitchen, Bath & Tank Dump

This video walks you through the Thor Quantum interior layout, tankless water heater, foot pedal toilet, and how to dump the black and gray tanks.

Kitchen & Living Area

The Thor Quantum LC28’s kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator with freezer, three-burner propane stovetop, oven, microwave, sink, and storage cabinets.

In front of the kitchen you'll find the dinette with TV (requires shore power or generator to operate). The dinette converts to a sleeping area. Above the cab is a bunk that sleeps two adults, and the futon couch also converts to a bed for two.

Bathroom

The Quantum’s bathroom has a full-size shower, foot pedal toilet, sink, and medicine cabinet.

Tankless Water Heater

The tankless water heater control is inside the bathroom. To use it:

  • Turn on the water pump and propane heat at the main panel.

  • Turn on the hot water.

  • Watch the display for the current temperature—a flame and shower icon confirm it's heating.

If connected to city water with low pressure, the heater may not activate. Disconnect from city water and switch to the fresh water system.

Foot Pedal Toilet

Before using the toilet, half press the foot pedal to add water to the bowl. Add plenty of water before solid waste.

When ready to flush, fully depress and hold the pedal for 10–15 seconds—this allows enough water to move waste through the black tank system.

Dumping the Black and Gray Tanks

The Quantum has 30-gallon black and gray tanks. The sewer hose (often called a "stinky slinky") is stored in the compartment behind the driver’s side door.

Before you dump, put on gloves and make sure both valves are pushed in. Hold the hose underneath the cap as you remove it, to catch any residual waste.

To dump the water tanks:

  1. Attach the hose securely to the outlet.

  2. Insert the other end into the dump station inlet.

  3. Pull the black tank valve first and let it fully drain.

  4. Close the black valve.

  5. Pull the gray tank valve to rinse the hose.

  6. Close the gray valve.

  7. Disconnect carefully, holding the hose underneath to catch remaining drips.

  8. Recap, rinse the hose at the dump station faucet, and store it back in its compartment.

Master Suite

The rear of the RV is the master suite with a queen size bed, closets on both sides with hanging storage, drawers, overhead cabinets, and windows that open.
