Winnebago EKKO Pop-Top Bed: How to Raise & Lower
Step-by-step instructions for raising and lowering the Winnebago EKKO pop-top bed and securing the roof for travel.
The EKKO’s pop-top creates a second sleeping area. Safety latches with butterfly-style locking wings on both sides secure the roof during travel.
To Raise the Pop-Top
Unclip the safety latch on the left side
Bring down the butterfly wings and turn counterclockwise to unlock
Repeat on the right side
Push up on the pop-top until it fully extends
To Lower the Pop-Top
Grab the handles on both sides and pull inward to cinch the material
Pull down on the handles until the top is fully lowered
Bring the butterfly wings down and turn clockwise to lock
Clip the safety latches closed on both sides
Troubleshooting the Pop-Top
Pop-top won’t open? Make sure both latches are fully unlocked before lifting.
Pop-top won’t close? Pull the canvas material inward before lowering, and confirm the butterfly wings are turned completely before clipping the latch.
