Winnebago Solis Interior: Battery, Generator & Murphy Bed
Learn how to use the coach battery, generator, main panel, and Murphy bed in the Winnebago Solis PX.
Coach Battery & Light Switches
Find the coach battery button above the refrigerator. Keep it on during your entire trip so the van can run all interior systems and charge the batteries.
The button is near the door and easy to bump with bags—always check that the green indicator light is on.
Next to the coach battery button are 12V and USB ports for charging devices, plus two light switches: one for interior lights, one for the exterior camping light.
Main Winnebago Panel
The Winnebago panel above the rear seats controls the generator and water pump. It also displays levels for propane (LPG), coach battery, and gray water tank.
To check propane, battery, and gray tank levels:
Press LPG to see propane level (shown in thirds).
Press Battery to see charge level. Keep this above 11.5 volts (two-thirds).
Press and hold Gray to see how full your gray tank is. Empty it before it reaches full.
Glance at your coach battery and tank levels each evening so you know when to run the generator or dump tanks.
Truma Panel: Heater & Hot Water
Follow these steps on the Truma panel for cabin heat:
Push the center button to activate the screen.
The flashing icon shows what will be selected when you push the center button.
Scroll to your desired temperature and push the center button to activate. The propane bottle icon will appear.
Follow these steps on the Truma panel to turn on hot water:
Scroll right, select the hot water icon, and push the center button. Hot water takes 10–15 minutes.
Before traveling, turn off both systems by selecting each function and scrolling to off. All icons on the top bar should be off.
Propane Safety
Turn off the propane switch while traveling. Turn it on when you arrive at your campsite.
How to Start the Solis PX Generator
The generator charges the batteries, runs the AC, and powers outlets when you're not plugged into shore power. To start the generator:
Press and hold the switch toward STOP for three seconds to prime it.
Press and hold toward START until the generator turns on.
Let it run 3–5 minutes before using the AC.
Press STOP to turn it off.
If you’re plugged into shore power, you don’t need the generator.
How to Lower the Murphy Bed
The Murphy bed is the Solis PX’s second sleeping area and stores upright for travel.
To lower it:
Stand at the rear doors with the bed in the upright position and pull back on the lock
Guide the bed down until it lines up with the counter height.
Flip the mattress section over so it lays flat
To raise it:
Lift the bed back up toward the wall and reverse the steps above
Troubleshooting: Generator or Bed
Interior power or generator panel not responding? Check that the coach battery button above the refrigerator is on and glowing green.
Generator won’t start? Make sure you primed it by holding STOP for three seconds before holding START.
Murphy bed feels stuck? Check that the lock is fully released.
