Winnebago Solis PX Bathroom: Cassette Toilet & Shower

Learn how to use the cassette toilet, shower, and waste dump systems in the Winnebago Solis PX.

Using the Toilet

The Solis PX has a cassette toilet with a five‑gallon removable waste tank stored directly beneath. To operate the toilet:

  • Before use: make sure your water pump is on.

  • Before use: add water to the bowl by pressing the blue button behind the toilet.

  • For solid waste, add plenty of water so waste doesn’t stick to the bowl.

  • Turn the flush handle to the right to flush.

  • After flushing, return the handle to the left while traveling to keep the valve closed and reduce splashing and odors while traveling.

Using the Shower

The bathroom doubles as your shower area. Hot and cold knobs are on the upper right wall by the showerhead. To use the shower:

  • If you want hot water, turn the water heater on.

  • Hang the shower curtain using the snaps above the panel door (you don’t have to close yourself into the closet).

  • Avoid running out of hot water by pausing the showerhead’s on/off switch while soaping. Remember: the water heater holds 2.6 gallons at a time.

Emptying the Cassette Toilet

The five-gallon cassette must be removed and emptied manually. To dump it:

  • Wear gloves.

  • Lift the blue tab and pull the cassette out of its exterior compartment.

  • Carry it to a restroom, porta-potty, or black water dump site.

  • Turn the nozzle, unscrew the cap, and pour.

  • Secure the cap and return the cassette to its compartment.

Dumping the Gray Water Tank

After dumping the cassette, empty the gray water tank. To dump the gray tank:

  • Wear gloves.

  • Locate the gray tank outlet under the vehicle.

  • Twist the cap to the left to remove it.

  • Connect your sewer hose and insert it into the dump site.

  • Pull the valve to release the water.

  • Once empty, close the valve, disconnect the hose, and store.

Troubleshooting the Toilet or Shower

  • Is waste sticking to the toilet bowl? Add more water by pressing the blue button before use.

  • Do you notice splashing or odors while driving? Make sure the flush handle is turned fully to the left so the valve stays closed.

  • No hot water in the shower? Confirm the water heater is turned on.

  • Hot water running out quickly? The water heater holds 2.6 gallons at a time. Use the showerhead's on/off switch to pause flow while soaping.

  • Water pressure seems inconsistent? Check that the water pump is on.
